Below are the key terms regarding lending with Diffuse Retail:

CONTACT INFORMATION

It is essential for us to keep you up to date regarding your items, so please ensure your contact details, including your phone number and email address, are correct and continuously maintained.

ELIGIBILITY

You confirm you are 18 or over and reside in the United Kingdom.

​

LENDER PACKAGES

Two lender packages are available at Diffuse Retail. The lender must choose which package to lend their items under, depending on their comfort level regarding national vs. local rentals.

  1. 'Local in-store only' – The lender's item will feature in the physical 'Rent My Wardrobe' range in-store, available for local customers to try on and book for local collection and drop-off in-store only. There will be no feature on the Diffuse Retail website or the ability to arrange courier delivery of the rental.

  2. 'National omni-channel' – The lender's item will be featured in the physical 'Rent My Wardrobe' range in-store and will also be listed on the Diffuse Retail website and the peer-to-peer lender app, ByRotation.*
     

*ByRotation lender rules apply to any item listed on our profile, which may impact the eligibility of certain items for listing.

 

COMMISSION SPLIT & PAYMENTS

The rental price charged to customers for the item will vary depending on its original retail price. Diffuse Retail will provide a recommended retail price before the item is first listed, allowing the lender to review and request amendments. Adjustments will be considered but are not guaranteed if they may inhibit likely rental rates.

  1. 'Local in-store only': The lender will receive 60% of every rental booking, with the remainder retained by Diffuse Retail.

  2. 'National omni-channel': Due to the additional work required for this package, including online listings, communication management, and organizing product shipping, the lender will receive 40% of every rental booking, with the remainder retained by Diffuse Retail.

 

Payments owed to lenders from rental bookings will be processed via bank transfer on the last day of every month. Bank account details will be collected before the item is listed, and it is the lender's responsibility to ensure that these details are correct and kept up to date.

Diffuse Retail cannot accept responsibility for tax obligations related to income from rental bookings. Lenders are responsible for familiarising themselves with tax guidelines and adhering to them as appropriate.

SECURITY & ITEM PROTECTION

While every effort is made to ensure the safety of your items while on the premises, Diffuse Retail cannot be held responsible for the theft or damage of individual items. By submitting items for rent, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions.
 

Although significant damage during rentals is rare, lenders must accept that Diffuse Retail cannot be held liable for any damage that may occur during rental bookings.

Items of high value will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Additional precautions may be implemented where necessary to enhance security; however, this is at Diffuse Retail's discretion and is not guaranteed.

SUMMARY

  • We are Diffuse Retail Ltd., registered at Gables House, 62 Kenilworth Road, Leamington Spa, CV32 6JX, (company no. 15063863).

  • Diffuse Retail will not be responsible for any loss suffered by you that could have been avoided by complying with these conditions or any deadlines outlined herein.

  • The laws of England and Wales apply to this contract, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
